Madinah factory
Our Saudi plant. SFDA-licensed as a local manufacturer (ML-2023-MD-0885); everything built here carries the Saudi Made mark. This is where the hospital beds the Kingdom used to import are now made.
Dignity, preserved
Preservus is the mortuary equipment line of Medica-Lab Group. The line started in 2002, when the group added mortuary refrigeration in its Egyptian factories. Today Preservus is manufactured in Saudi Arabia. It serves hospitals, forensic institutes and municipalities.
The range covers mortuary refrigerators from 1 to 9 cells (+2 to +8°C) and freezer configurations (−10 to −20°C). It also includes autopsy and body-resting tables in AISI 304 stainless steel, plus transfer and lift trolleys.
Local production keeps these critical units close to the facilities that depend on them. Every unit is built under the group's ISO 13485:2016 quality system. Options include multiple cooling units, UPS alarms and emergency cooling.
We manufacture close to the healthcare systems we serve — that is what keeps delivery short and service near the patient.

Our first plant, and still the largest. Three production halls covering steel fabrication, powder coating, upholstery and final assembly, plus the mortuary refrigeration line added in 2002.
Group headquarters since the HOSPIcare acquisition, handling international partnerships and export coordination.
Four decades of building medical equipment where it is needed.
Dr Hesham Swilam founds the company in Egypt as a specialist in medical furniture, at a time when nearly every hospital bed in the country was imported.
Production begins in Badr City near Cairo. Egyptian hospitals no longer have to import their beds — the step that defined everything that followed.
Medica-Lab becomes a joint-stock company and opens a 5,000 m² plant, adding mortuary refrigeration — the line known today as Preservus.
A third plant brings state-of-the-art fabrication. Across these years the group equips 400 rural health units, 190 women’s health units and 50 integrated hospitals.
The group acquires HOSPIcare®, the French hospital bed brand, and moves its headquarters to Paris.
The Madinah factory opens, SFDA-licensed as a local manufacturer. World-class hospital beds, made in the Kingdom, for the Kingdom.
A partnership with AIIM, the German surgical instruments brand, brings roughly 10,000 instruments into the group’s regional supply chain — and Medica-Lab begins manufacturing AIIM instruments in Saudi Arabia for the Saudi market.
